Uploading a New PDF Publication (Grid View)

Modified on Thu, 13 Mar at 3:19 PM

Updates can be used to display custom PDFs on your website.

1. From the Digital Workspace, click on Updates.

2. Click on +Update. This will bring up the Add New Update window.

3. At the top of the Editor, give the Update a Title. Provide an Excerpt below if you are planning to use a Grid display.

4. (Optional) Set the Scheduled Date if you would like the Update to publish sometime in the future, or if you'd like it to be set retroactively. You may type the date into the field or select it in the drop-down calendar. Click Done when you are finished.

5. In the Link section to the right, click on Show Link Button. For a PDF, set the Type to File Upload.

6. Click the Choose File button and select the document you’d like to upload.

7. The file name should now display above the Choose File button. Set the Link Title (eg. Content title or a call-to-action such as "Learn more").

8. Upload a Feature Image if you are planning to use a Grid Display. If you are using a List Display, you may skip this step.

Write a brief description of what the image is showing in the Banner Alternative Text field for individuals using screen readers (eg. Hiker overlooking a long view at the edge of a mountain). This will help improve your website’s SEO.

Note: Ideal dimensions for an Updates feature image are 360 x 270 px. Make sure you first consult your Marketing team to assist you with creating an optimized image.

9. Select any Categories that apply if desired. You can use these Categories to organize your publications if you are NOT using Content Collections.

10. Click Save Changes. You should now see your Update showing in the list.

12. Click on the green Submit button to submit the publication it for approval. Once the update is approved, it may be displayed on your website.

Note: There is no way to PREVIEW an Update on your website. It must be approved by Compliance before it may be added or displayed on your site.

If you need to edit an Update, at any time you can click the Edit button and edit the desired fields. Click Save Changes and then Submit it again for reapproval.
