datafeed

Modified on Wed, 25 Jun at 2:50 PM

The datafeed collects profile data from the client and compares this to current data in Digital Agent (DA). If it is found that there is a discrepancy between the two, the datafeed automatically updates Digital Agent to ensure that all profile data is current.

Data changes that can be updated by the datafeed include name, title, location, contact information, designations, team information, and branch detail.

If an entry is found with no matching ID or email, a new profile will be created in Digital Agent using team and branch information, provided no user with the email in the data file already exists in Digital Agent. All profiles across all hubs for the user ID will be updated.

For an existing profile to be updated, the following criteria must be met:

  1. Unique ID or email must match between DA and files provided.

  2. There must be a difference between DA data and data provided in the feed.

  3. Profile must be active in the database

  4. There must be only one non-archived version of the profile (If, for example, a previously approved and in workflow version exists, the profile will not sync).

  5. Job title in the feed must be in Whitelist.

  6. The Override box for the profile must be clear. Note that if the override box for a single field is selected, only that field will not be synced.

Datafeed Sync Indicator

Open datafeed1.png

On each individual’s profile, if the most recent update was completed by the datafeed process, a green Synced indicator will appear next to the status. This indicator will be absent if the most recent action on the profile was not completed by the datafeed.

Open datafeed2.png

Under the team profiles, each will show either a green circling arrows icon or a red x, to indicate whether the profile has been updated by the datafeed.

If the most recent action on a profile was the datafeed making an update, the green arrows will appear to show that the profile has been automatically synced.

If no datafeed update has yet taken place (such as with a new profile) or if there has been a manual update to the profile in DA since the last datafeed sync, a red x will appear instead. The next time the datafeed triggers, if it updates the profile, the red x will be replaced by the green arrows.

Note that if a manual update was made in DA and also to the source data such that they match prior to the next datafeed, the datafeed will not make an update, and the red x will remain.

In other words, if you see a red x, (a) the data was already in sync, (b) there has been an update to the profile in DA since the last datafeed, or (c) the criteria required for the feed to complete an update was not met.
