Changing Your Individual Page Banner

Quick Guide

Notes:

  • A custom page banner overrides any site-wide pre-approved or custom banner (except for a video banner).
  • A pre-approved page banner does not override a site-wide custom banner.  

Add a pre-approved banner

  1. In the Digital Workspace, click Settings to view Your Pages.

  2. Select the page you want to edit from the Menu Structure.

  3. Scroll down to Theme Options.

  4. Select a pre-approved banner from the Banner carousel.

    • Some banners are theme-specific.

    • Video banners (if available) display only on the Home page (must also select an image banner).

  5. Add a short Alternative Text description for accessibility/SEO (e.g., sunset over mountains).

  6. Scroll down and click Save Changes to submit your banner for approval.

  7. The banner will display on your draft site in My Website.

Add a custom banner

⚠️ Check with Marketing before uploading to ensure the image is sized correctly.

  1. In the Digital Workspace, click Settings to view Your Pages.

  2. Select the page you want to edit from the Menu Structure.

  3. Scroll down to Theme Options.

  4. In the Custom Banner section, click Choose File and upload your image.

    • Note: A custom banner overrides any pre-approved banner (except for a video banner).

  5. Add Alternative Text (e.g., sunset over mountains).

  6. Scroll down and click Save Changes to submit your banner for approval.

  7. The banner will display on your draft site in My Website.

Remove a custom banner

  1. Click Reset in the Custom Banner section.

  2. The preview will return to default.

  3. Click Save Changes.

  4. The custom banner will no longer display on your site.

1. From your Digital Workspace click on Settings. This will bring you to Your Pages.

2. In the Menu Structure, click the page you’d like to update.

3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and find Theme Options.

  • Here, you’ll see pre-approved banners available for your environment, as well as the option to upload a custom banner.

Note: 

  • An individual custom banner will override both site-wide and pre-approved banners.

  • An individual pre-approved banner will not override a site-wide custom banner.



Add a Pre-Approved Banner

1. Select the banner you’d like from the pre-approved options.


2. Add a brief Alternative Text description for accessibility and SEO (e.g., “Scenic sunset over the ocean”).


3. Click Save this page to submit your page for Compliance review.


4. Your new banner will appear on your draft website (My Website).

 

 


Remove a Pre-Approved Banner

1. In the banner carousel, select No Banner Selected


2. Click Save this page


3. The page will revert to the site-wide banner (unless a custom banner is set).


Add a Custom Banner

⚠️ Important: Consult your Marketing team before uploading a custom banner to ensure it is correctly sized. 


You may have both a pre-approved and custom banner selected. Your custom banner will always override the pre-approved banner.


1. Under Custom banner, click Choose File.

2. Select your properly sized banner image from your computer.

4. Click Save this page to submit your page for Compliance review. 


5. Your custom banner will now display on your draft site.

Remove a Custom Banner

1. In the Custom Banner section, click Reset.

2. The preview will revert to "Upload Image"

3. Click Save this page to submit your page for Compliance review.


4. The custom banner will no longer display on your draft site.

  • If a pre-approved banner is selected, it will display instead.

  • If no banner is selected, the site-wide banner will display.
