Quick Guide

Add a pre-approved banner

1. In Digital Workspace, click Settings → Settings tab (top header).

2. Select the Theme Options tab.

   • Here you can choose from pre-approved banners or upload a custom banner.

   • Available options depend on your environment and theme.

3. Select a pre-approved banner by selecting an image from the Banner carousel.

   • Some banners are theme-specific.

   • Video banners (if available) display only on the Home page (must also select an image banner).

4. Add a short Alternative Text description for accessibility/SEO (e.g., sunset over mountains).

5. Scroll down and click Save Changes to submit your banner for approval.

6. The banner will display on your draft site in My Website.

Add a custom banner

⚠️ Check with Marketing before uploading to ensure the image is sized correctly.

1. In Digital Workspace, click Settings → Settings tab (top header).

2. Select the Theme Options tab.

3. In the Custom Banner section, click Choose File and upload your image.

   • Note: A custom banner overrides any pre-approved banner.

4. Add Alternative Text (e.g., sunset over mountains).

5. Scroll down and click Save Changes to submit your banner for approval.

6. The banner will display on your draft site in My Website.

Remove a custom banner

1. Click Reset in the Custom Banner section.

2. The preview will return to default.

3. Click Save Changes.

4. The custom banner will no longer display on your site.

Troubleshooting

If your new banner doesn’t display:

• Check for a custom banner applied at the page level or in Theme Options.

• Reset/remove the custom banner and re-check.

Full Guide

1. From your Digital Workspace click on Settings. This will bring you to Your Pages.

2. In the top header, select the Settings tab (beside Your Pages and Themes).

3. From this page, click the Theme Options tab.

On this page, you’ll find a selection of pre-approved banners (based on your environment and theme) and the option to upload a custom banner.

Add a Pre-Approved Banner

1. Select a banner from the Banner carousel.

• Some banners are tied to specific themes. If you change themes and your banner disappears, it means that option isn’t available for the new theme.

• Note: If your environment allows video banners, they will only display on the Home page. You must select both a video banner and an image banner.

2. Enter Alternative Text describing the image for accessibility and SEO (e.g., “Scenic landscape of a sunset at sea”).

3. Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes to submit your banner for Compliance approval.

4. Your banner will appear on your draft website in the My Website section.

Add a Custom Banner

1. In the Custom banner section, click Choose File.

2. Select your properly sized banner image from your computer.  

3. Add Alternative Text for accessibility and SEO (eg. a scenic landscape of a sunset at sea). 

4. Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes to submit your banner for Compliance approval.

5. Your new custom banner will display on your draft website (My Website).

Remove a Custom Banner

1. In the Custom Banner section, click Reset.   

2. The preview will revert to "Upload Image"

3. Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes to submit your changes for Compliance approval.

4. Your custom banner will no longer display in the My Website section.

• Your pre-approved banner selection will now display instead.
