Selecting the Theme Options tab

On the Theme Options page, you will find a number of approved Banners that you can select for your website, as well as other theme options you may apply to your website.

The pre-approved banners that are available to you will depend on your environment and the theme you have applied.

You may select the banner that you would like to appear from the pre-approved banner selections OR upload a custom banner.

Add a Pre-Approved Banner

1. Select the banner that you would like to appear from the pre-approved banner selections.

Depending on your environment, some pre-approved banner images are only available with specific themes. If you have recently changed your theme and your banner disappears, that banner image option is unavailable for that theme.

Note: If your environment allows for video banners, please note that a video banner will ONLY display on the Home page. If you'd like to use a video banner, you must select both a video banner AND an image banner.

2. Write a brief description of what the image is showing in the Banner Alternative Text field for individuals using screen readers (eg. a scenic landscape of a sunset at the sea). This will help improve your website’s SEO and makes your website more accessible.

3. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click the blue Save Changes button on the right-hand side.

4. Your new banner should now appear on your draft website in the My Website section.

Add a Custom Banner

IMPORTANT: Please make sure you consult with your Marketing team before uploading a custom banner to ensure it is correctly sized.

Note: You may have both a pre-loaded banner selected and a custom banner uploaded. If you have a custom banner uploaded, it will always override the pre-loaded banner.

1. Locate the Custom banner section and select Choose File.

Troubleshooting: Why isn't my new banner displaying?

Certain banner selections will always override others.

If you have selected a new banner and it is not displaying on your website, or your old banner is still displaying, be sure to check whether you have a custom banner selected on a specific Page in Your Pages or in Theme Options. Reset the custom banner to remove it then check to see if the issue has been resolved.
