If your website supports multiple languages (see: Adding or Managing Supported Languages (Locales)), you can switch between language versions of your content directly within the Digital Workspace.
Switching Language Versions
In any section where you can add or edit content, use the Choose Language drop-down menu to toggle between language versions.
Example: If you select “Français”, you will now be editing the French version of your website.
How Language Versions Work
Content created in English will automatically generate a Copy on the French version (indicated by a grey Copy badge).
Copy Badge: This indicates that another language version of the content exists but has not yet been modified with its translation.
This works in reverse as well—content created in French will display a Copy badge in the English version.
- Each piece of content must be edited individually to include its corresponding translation.
Important Notes
Whenever you add or update English content, you must also update the French version (or vice versa).
If not updated, the content will not display on the other language version.
This allows for language-specific content to be omitted when necessary.
Submissions are separate: Submitting the English version does not submit the French version. Each must be submitted individually, as they go to different review queues.
