Grouping Your Content with a Wrapper

Modified on Wed, 3 Sep at 11:05 AM

What is a Wrapper?

A Wrapper is a container element in the Web Content Editor that groups multiple pieces of content together so they can be managed as a single unit. Instead of adjusting or moving each block individually, a Wrapper allows you to apply changes to the entire group at once.

Think of it like a folder: the Wrapper holds your content, keeping it organized and easy to move or style consistently.

Adding a Wrapper

1. Click the Add Menu or Quick Access Menu and select Wrapper.

2. The Wrapper will appear below your selected content line as a blank box (Wrappers act as containers for other content).

3. Add new content, or copy and paste existing content into the Wrapper.

Note: You’ll see “Wrapper” in the Path Bar when editing inside the container.

Selecting a Wrapper

To select the entire Wrapper element:

  • Click "Wrapper" in the Path Bar,or
  • Open the Quick Access Menu and select Parent.

Wrapper Actions

With the entire element selected, you can perform the following actions:

  • Add: Add new content outside of the wrapper element.
  • Unwrap: Unwrap (ungroup) your content.
  • Move up / Move down: Move your grouped content.
  • Border: Apply a border to the group content.
  • Text size: Adjust the text size and line height of content within your wrapper (note: not recommended if your environment uses pre-approved styles).
  • Spacing: Adjust the padding of the content in your wrapper.
  • Duplicate: Create a duplicate of your wrapper with all grouped content.
  • Delete: Remove the entire element and all grouped content within.
