While on another language version of a web page, any Content Blocks that you have previously created must be edited to display the translated version of the content.
By default, they will generally display a Copy badge if the translation has not yet been added or a Draft badge if it has not been previously submitted and approved.
New: A newly created and unedited Content Block.
Copy: A Content Block that has been copied over from another Language version but not yet edited with the language translation.
Draft: Content has been recently edited but not submitted to Compliance for approval. If the content was recently added, it will not show on the live website. If it was recently edited, the previously approved version will show on the live website.
1. From the Digital Workspace, click on My Website and navigate to the page that you would to edit your content block.
2. Select the language version you’d like to display in the Language drop-down menu. You should now be viewing that Language Version of your website.
3. You can also confirm the language version you're currently viewing by the URL in your browser.
- English: "?lang=fr_CA"
- French: "?lang=en_US"
4. Find the content block you’d like to edit. Click the Options drop-down and select Edit.
5. The originally added language version of the content will display in the Web Content Editor by default.
6. Replace this information with its respective translation. You may also replace the Name of Content with its translation. This will show up in the French language version of the Content Library.
7. When you are finished, click Save As Draft to preview your content on the web page. If it was previously a Copy, it should now display as a
Draft.
7. When you are ready, return to the Web Content Editor and click Submit for Approval to submit the content to Compliance for review.
