What are Virtual Themes?
Virtual Themes allows Enterprises centralized control over individual website's theme and branding.
Accessing Virtual Themes
1. Navigate to Admin HQ.
2. Select Global Settings at the top of the page, then the Virtual Theme tab.
Creating a New Virtual Theme
1. To create a new Virtual Theme, click the Create button.
2. Give your new theme a name in the Virtual Theme Name field.
3. The CSS Override section may be used to define all CSS styles you'd like to apply to the site.
4. The Fonts Configuration is where default font families, sizes, and colours may be defined for each individual header and paragraph styles. Customization is available for both Desktop and Mobile displays.
- Your branded font family may be uploaded for use across your environment. Contact the Digital Agent team for more information on uploading your custom fonts.
5. You may add HTML to the Footer Contents section to define a consistent footer across all advisor sites that have this Virtual Theme applied.
- Each language version must be updated individually, to allow for language-specific content.
- You can select the language in the top-left corner of the Footer Contents, then apply your changes.
Important: If custom Footer Contents have been applied at the hub level, the hub-specific footer contents will override the Virtual Theme.
6. When finished, select Save Changes at the bottom of the page to save your Virtual Theme.
Your new Virtual Theme may now be applied in any hubs with an existing website.
Editing an Existing Virtual Theme
1. To edit an existing Virtual Theme, select its name in the list, then click Edit.
2. Changes may be applied to the CSS Override, Fonts Configuration, or Footer Contents as needed.
3. When finished, select Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
4. Your changes will be applied across all hubs with this Virtual Theme applied.
Applying a Virtual Theme
Virtual Themes may be applied to any individual hubs by a Client Admin user. If a hub is cloned to create a new site, the virtual theme configurations will also be cloned to that new site. This allows you to easily create template sites that can be replicated for new advisor sites.
1. Impersonate a user from the hub you'd like to apply your theme to.
2. Navigate to Settings > Settings > Site Management.
3. In Site Management, select your desired Virtual Theme from the drop-down menu.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.
5. Your Virtual Theme will now be applied to the hub.
