If you own a custom URL through a registrar/DNS provider and would like to use it for your Digital Agent website, you must configure your DNS records to point to Digital Agent's servers.
While each registrar has a slightly different interface, the overall process is generally the same.
Step 1: Sign in to your registrar
To access your DNS records, you must first sign in to your registrar/DNS provider account. Common registrars include:
Don't know your registrar?
If you are uncertain which registrar your custom domain is hosted on, you can use Whois Domain Lookup to confirm.
If you are unable to access your registrar, please reach out to your registrar's support team. We are unable to assist you in accessing your registrar.
Step 2: Locate your DNS records
- Once you've logged in to your registrar, navigate to the list of domains that you own.
- Select the domain name you need to update the DNS records for and edit/manage that domain.
- Locate the DNS Records section for that domain name to view all existing DNS records.
For additional assistance in locating your DNS records, you may also view your registrar's support documentation:

If the registrar is not in this list, you can google "[Registrar name] Add DNS records"
Note: If your domain name is currently using Nameservers instead of DNS Records, please contact the Digital Agent Support team.
Step 3: Update your DNS records
Updating an Existing A Record
1. Find the existing A Record and Edit it.
2. Provide the advisor with the the IP address that corresponds to the environment their site is hosted on and have them replace the existing IP with the new one.
- Type: A
- Name: @
- Value:[Contact Digital Agent Support]
3. After updating the record, click Save.
⚠️ Important: There should be only one A record present. Additional A records should be deleted.
Adding a New A Record
1. If the required record is not present, find the Add New Record (or similarly named) button.
2. Input the following details:
- Type: A
- Name: @
- Value: [Contact Digital Agent Support]
Adding a New "www" CNAME Record
If there is not already a "www" CNAME record present, add a new record and configure:
Type: CNAME
Name: www
Value: @ (or use the custom url name if @ is unsupported, eg. www.customname.com)
All other records may be maintained. If you are uncertain about your DNS record configuration, please take a screenshot of your DNS records and send it to the Digital Agent Support team (service@veriday.com
Step 4: Repeat for each domain (Optional)
If you’d like to point more than one domain name to your Digital Agent website, simply repeat the above steps for each domain you own.
Your website will use one Primary domain—any additional domain names will be configured to redirect to that primary URL. This ensures all traffic is directed to a single main address, which helps maintain consistency and supports SEO best practices.
Step 5: Confirm your changes with the Digital Agent team
After the DNS records have been updated, the custom domain(s) will be pointing to Digital Agent's servers. However, the domain still need to be added to our database before it can go live.
Please provide a screenshot of your updated DNS records to the Digital Agent Support team (service@veriday.com). Our team will review the records and follow up to confirm once your custom domain has been officially launched.
Note: Once updated, DNS changes can take up to 24–48 hours to fully propagate, regardless of the TTL (Time to Live) although they often take effect sooner.
