1. Navigate to Settings.
2. While in the Your Pages section of Settings, click on the green Add Page button in the top right corner.
3. The information in the right column will now be configurable.
Edit the following information on your new web page:
Page Attributes
a. Hide this page: Toggles the Navigation Label visibility of the specific page in the navigation menu of your website. Check this ON if you would like your page to be hidden from public view even after it has been approved. You can come back and uncheck this at any time.
Note: It's recommended to leave this OFF if you plan to edit your page immediately after creation.
b. Type of Page:
(Certain fields will be enabled/disabled depending on your selection)
- Page in My Website: Blank page that may be freely customized.
- Internal Link: A link to a specific pre-existing page on your website.
- External Link: A link to an external web page. Note: Please check with your Marketing team regarding restrictions before using this.
- Menu Label: A menu item that does not direct to a page and serves only to display a title/header. Used to create navigation menu drop-downs. See: Creating a Drop-Down in the Navigation Menu
- Pre-Approved Page: A page that has been created and pre-approved by the Marketing team (if available). See: Add a Pre-Approved Page
c. Navigation Label: The name that displays in the navigation menu of your website.
d. Page Title: The name that displays on top of the banner of your web page.
e. URL: The name of the page that is appended to the end of the site’s URL. The URL will auto-fill according to your page's Navigation Label.
f. Choose a Standard Page Template: Changes the layout structure of all the content on that specific page.
g. Set an expiry date (Optional): Allows you to set an expiration date for any page you’d like to automatically be hidden after a set period of time.
Search Engine Optimization (Optional):
Search Engine Title: The title of the page that appears in search results. Use natural language and keywords that relate to the specific page to boost search rank.
Meta Description: A brief summary that displays below the Search Engine Title in search results. Use this to provide your clients with a short introduction to the content that is on the page to help increase the chance a visitor will click on it.
Tags: Outdated and no longer in use by search engines.
4. When you are finished, click Save This Page to submit the changes to Compliance.
5. The page will now be added at the bottom of the Menu Structure. Refer to Manage the display order of navigation menu items for instructions on how to change the location of the menu item.
6. You should now be able to find and add content to your page in the My Website section of the Digital Workspace. See Web Content Management for more info on adding and managing your web content.
