The primary purpose of release notes is to ensure transparency and keep clients informed about the continuous development and enhancement of the Digital Agent platform. They help clients understand the value of the updates and how they might benefit from new features and improvements.

This is Phase 1 of the upgrade as the current editor is part of multiple areas in Digital Agent. In this phase the following 3 areas have been enhanced.  Other areas of Digital Agent (eg. blog post editor) will continue to use the previous editor which will be replaced with additional enhancements in subsequent phases.

Expanded Twitter URL Support

What's New?
Digital Agent now supports URLs from both x.com and twitter.com domains in social media input fields on the profile. This enhancement ensures seamless integration of Twitter profiles, regardless of the domain format.

Key Benefits:

  • Improved User Experience: Users can add Twitter URLs from either domain without errors or manual adjustments.

  • Increased Flexibility: Adapts to Twitter's rebranding to x.com while maintaining backward compatibility with the original twitter.com domain.

  • Enhanced Functionality: Simplifies the process for managing social media links on advisor websites.

AODA (Bedrock)

Given I am a visitor on a website that renders content

Given, I press the tab key after rendering, I am immediately taken to a “Skip to Main”

Given that I press enter or click on the “Skip to Main”, I am taken to the first piece of content below the banner.

Given that I press tab again on the “Skip to Main”, I am taken to the next element.

The french version of “Skip to Main” is “Passer au Contenu Principale”

Mobile Banner (Bedrock)

Digital Agent allows users to upload a sized mobile banner image. However, this functionality is limited to the Home page only.

With this enhancement, when a user uploads a mobile banner in the Banner Management tab within Settings, the mobile banner will be applied across the entire website. Note: This functions similarly to the  “Custom banner” feature within the  “Theme Options” tab.

When logged in and I navigate to the location - Settings → Your Pages

When the banner image is not uploaded, the user is able to see the upload UI

All internal pages (Non home page)

When the user uploads the respective mobile banner on all internal pages, it shows up as a thumbnail image. The website would display the uploaded mobile banner as half page default configuration even though those settings are not displayed in the your pages section [except for the homepage].

When the user uploads the respective mobile banner on only the Homepage, it shows up as a thumbnail image, and the user is also able to select the height of the banner - half, medium, or small. (The same UI as we see on the banner management tab for the homepage mobile banner).

Website display of mobile banner in case of homepage -should be according to selected configuration in your pages. By default this is a half page display setting. The Your Pages section mobile banner takes precedence over the banner management tab option when displaying on the website side [if both places have the upload done] .

Clearer instructions are now provided within a tooltip, ensuring advisors understand that uploading a team photo here will only add it to the Advisor Locator (if available in the environment) and not to their website.

Key Benefits:

  • Enhanced Clarity: Reduces confusion by explicitly explaining the function of the Team Photo upload section.

  • Improved User Experience: Saves advisors time by setting clear expectations about where uploaded photos will appear.

  • Streamlined Workflows: Advisors can now make informed decisions when managing their profile and website content.

What Has Changed?

  • Added to the tooltip near the Team Photo upload field in the Team Profile tab:
"Please note: Uploading a Team Photo here will only display it in the Advisor Locator (if available) and not on your website."

  • Visual indicators have been implemented to reinforce this clarification.

Impact:
This change improves communication within the platform, ensuring advisors and teams can better manage their profiles without unnecessary misunderstandings.
