Connector Enhancement Site Level

Digital Agent is enabling customers to introduce their own connectors at a site level.   Client admins will be given the access to create these through the powerup that is found on the workspace.

What this means is that Digital Agent will have the capability to add a connector to platforms that need to introduce a Javascript in the header on a single website in the header for all pages..  This is not to be used for “Cookie Compliance” as this functionality belongs at the organizational level.   Please refer to release 5.11 General Release Notes.

Use Case:  Add a connector

  1. Navigate to the sites “Workspace”

  2. Click on “Powerups” and available powerups will be presented.

  3. Select the “Connectors”

  4. Select the “Create” option

  5. Enter the necessary information

    1. Type - “Client Owned”

    2. The Title of the connector is to be used for a user to understand the connector reference in the future and has no impact on the functionality.

    3. Toggle the “Enable the connector” to On.

    4.  The Javascript is provided by the 3rd party application that a connector is being applied to. This  javascript will be added to the Header of all pages on that website.

  1. Save the changes

Note:  Only a client admin will have access to the Connector Powerup at the website level.

Use Case 2: Edit a connector

  1. Select the existing connector from the list.

  2. Click on the “Edit” button.

  3. Make the desired changes and save.

Use Case 3: Disable a Connector

  1. Select the existing connector from the list.

  2. Click on the “Edit” button.

  3. Toggle the “Enable the connector” to off and save changes.

How to validate on the website?

If a user wishes to check that the Javascript is present that has been added as a connector.

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Visit a desired website that is within the org structure for the connector that was added or modified.

  3. Navigate to the 3 vertical dots

←–

  1. Select More Tools

  2. select Developer Tools

  3. Select Element

  4. Under the Header you will see the component that has been added through the Digital Agent interface.  It may take 5-10 minutes for that connector to appear as the site changes are being published.

How to troubleshoot if you encounter issues after turning on the connector?

  1. Go to the live site and test if the changes work as expected.

  2. If you are not seeing desired results, log into DA and turn Off the connector.

  3. Go to the live site to check if the changes have been reversed and confirm there are no issues.

  4. If the site returns to normal behavior, it can be inferred that there is an issue with the javascript.

  5. Review the javascript to locate the problem area or troubleshoot further with the javascript provider.

Note: DA platform provides users the ability to add a connector, making this a self-serve feature. To troubleshoot any issues related to the javascript, please reach out to the vendor that provides the script.

Mobile Dual Logo Description Change

Enhancement is to clarify the message on the screen and the capability of the feature.

Current text

English ”Image Logo (280 pixels wide by 65 pixels high)” is duplicated twice over each column (The 280x 65 is the combined space for two images, the images are dynamically resized based on the space)

French - “Logo de l'image (280 pixels de large sur 65 pixels de haut)“

Expected outcome

English - “The dual logos will be displayed together (280px wide by 65px high). Each logo uploaded should be at most 140px wide by 65px high.”

French - “Les deux logos seront affichés ensemble (280px de large sur 65px de haut). Chaque logo téléchargé doit mesurer au maximum 140 pixels de large sur 65 pixels de haut”

Advisor/Enterprise Dashboard Time on Blog/Page

Enhancement to the method that Time on Blog / Page is calculated.   With the conversion from Universal Analytics (UA) to Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

GA4 calculates “engagement” on a website much differently than in Universal Analytics.

This has been addressed in two places on existing dashboards for Enterprise Field Marketing which has already been released.  The Digital Agent Advisor Dashboard which these release notes are for.

Marketing Form Template Enhancement

Improvement on the Marketing form creation / editor process to address the following message when a user attempts to move to the next steps without completing the content required.

The value for the Name is made mandatory at both the form creation stage and while editing a form. In the mock screen below, notice that the name field is not disabled in gray.

If a user does not enter a value for the Name of any form field type, and tries to click on the Next step button, an error message is displayed that lists out the form fields that are missing a name.

Bedrock

WCAG wider enhancements / optimization

The following are minor enhancements that have been made to continue WCAG AA compliance of Digital Agent Widgets for the Bedrock Theme.

  • Replace role=”submenu” from <ul> elements in navigation and replace with role=”menu” to support screen reader

  • Matching the accessibility text read by the screen reader to the text label in the user interface component

  • Added screen reader only text for the icons in My Profile and event widget

  • Optimize screen reader for 3 Dot menu to reach Expanded and Collapsed

  • Additional link context to the Events RSVP Button for screen reader

  • Enhanced mobile screen reader context for phone, email and linkedin icons.

Color selector automatically changing text size

Addressed a use case where the color selector was changing the text size.  Use case was when the text was set to h2 in both images. The only change made was to add a color to the text.

Site Level Logo Management

Current state

For a Web Admin, under the Digital WorkspaceSettingsSettings, Theme Options, this user has access to logo functionality

For a Client Admin under the Digital WorkspaceSettingsSettings, Logo Management, this user has access to increased logo functionality.

Expected Outcome

The Logo Logo Management functionality above for the client admin has been enabled for the Web Admin.

The Logo Management functionality takes precedence over the Theme Options logo if both are populated and if only one is populated that option is utilized.
