Dragging & Dropping Content on Your Web Page

Modified on Fri, 9 May at 4:23 PM

After adding content and Web Gadgets to your website, you will be able to drag and drop them anywhere on the page, based on the page layout (page layout is defined by the page template you choose). To move a content box (or Web Gadget):

1. To move content and web gadgets around your web page, click and hold the left mouse button over the ✥ four-arrow icon to the top-right of your content block or web gadget, beside the Options drop-down menu.

2. Drag it to the desired position. You may drag and scroll at the same time, as long as you continue to hold the mouse button. You will notice a blue line indicating the new position of the content.

3. Content may also be automatically resized per the available Column Layout guides (configured in Settings), depicted as grey boxes on the web page. If you do not see the boxes, make sure you scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Note: If you still do not see the boxes, then all columns may already have content within them. Experiment with moving the item around the page. The blue line should indicate the column size.

4. When you are happy with the item’s new location, release the content. Layout changes do not require approval and will update on the live website shortly after your page has been rearranged.
