Adding an Image to a Content Block

Note: Please make sure you consult your Marketing team before uploading an image to ensure it is correctly sized.

The instructions below are for updating an image that's been added to a content block. For instructions on updating your profile image, please see: Adding or changing a Profile Photo

1. While in the Web Content Editor, click the icon to open the Image Properties window.

2. Click Browse Server to launch the Resources Browser.

3. In the Resource Browser, navigate to the folder of the hub you are currently working on, then to the Images folder.

4. In the bottom right corner, select the Choose File button. Click this, select the image you want to upload, and click Open

5. You should see the filename shown beside the Choose File button. Click Upload. The image will now upload into the folder above.

6. Select the image in the Resource Manager

7. The image will now show in the Image Properties window.

8. Add a description of the image to the Alternative Text field.

9. You can set the Width and Height of the image in the fields below. You can use the Lock Ratio button to lock your aspect ratio and the Reset Size button to reset the image size to its default value.

It's recommended to use percentages instead of a pixel value for the width and height. This will ensure that the image does not get squashed when viewed on mobile devices. (For example, put 100% in the Width and Height field.) Using percentages will cause your image to automatically scale to the width of the column you've placed the Content Block in.

Note: If your image is originally small/low resolution, it may not display well at 100%.

10. When you are finished, click OK to return to the Web Content Editor

11. Click Save as Draft or Submit for Approval to finish working on your Content Block and preview it on your web page.
