Redirect a Site to Another URL

Modified on Fri, 17 Oct at 6:59 PM

When setting a site offline, you have the option to redirect the URL to a different site. This can be beneficial in scenarios such as when:

  • An advisor departs from the company and you wish to redirect their former site to a main directory.
  • A team has dissolved.
  • An advisor with an individual practice joins a new team.
  • An advisor or a team undergoes a name change.

Redirecting a site will also automatically mark it as Offline and Hidden in the locator.

To redirect your site:

  1. In the Hub Manager, search for the website you'd like to redirect.
  2. In the Actions drop-down menu, click URL Management.
  3. On the Deactivation Behaviour page, check Redirect the visitor to: ON
  4. Before pasting your URL into the field, remove the "https://" or "http://" from the start of the address.
  5. Paste your desired URL into the field.
  6. Set the "https://" or "http://" in the drop-down menu at the start of the field.
  7. Click Save Changes and type in REDIRECT. This will set the site offline and hide it from the locator. Any traffic will be redirected to your desired page.
  8. It's recommended to leave the Workflow > ON.
